| Rams Fans Protesting in St. Louis |
But many still see Rams Owner Stan Kroenke and his 80,000-seat stadium proposal in Inglewood as the better plan and, the most likely outcome. Whether or not that is good news is depending on your point of view, But it is clear that this race has no end in sight.
Most of Los Angelinos appear to support the Return of the two teams that left in 1994, On Facebook, Nearly 55,000 People have committed their support to the Movement that may have influenced Stan Kroenke's decision to build in Inglewood, Bring Back the Los Angeles Rams. But, Another Option Appears to be overlooked, and this one comes from a technical standpoint. You May Recall an Earlier Post that suggested the Rams name and records be returned to Los Angeles, This Proposal, Is Similar, But Different .
It is known, that If the Chargers move to LA, The team would most likely have to rebrand. What if the Chargers were to take on the Rams name and records, as opposed to starting from scratch as the "Los Angeles Stars" or whatever they would call themselves otherwise.
In the Perfect Compromise, Nobody Wins, and this reflects that, even for the Rams fans. San Diego loses its football team, St. Louis has to rebrand itself as another team, and LA Rams Fans have to go to see their team at the toxic waste dump they bashed and cheer for their team, run by an owner they hate. Even if Spanos is forced to sell the team, It would still be a loss for them. as in the eyes of the future Football Fanatics, Kroenke won't be the savior of the Rams, Spanos will have earned that title and no matter who ends up buying the team, that sticks, for good.
St. Louis has to focus on a new name, and this one cannot be Cardinals. Names such as Aviators, Spirits or Stallions, while awesome, will not be as liked as a team called the Cardinals, which is what drew people in the first place. The Owner won't be Sahid Khan, and Kroenke, while probably looking West To Denver, will have to hang on to the team for some time.
San Diego, which takes the biggest of the beatings, will be forever without a football team, the legacy of the Chargers, will still be with them, But there may be no team in a position to move there (Maybe the Jaguars) for at least 12 years. No Sites exist in the city that would be able to hold a football stadium and any hope of college football, would have to be during the Padres offseason.
