Oceanside, NY (MPN) - Not too long ago, Rams owner Stan Kroenke purchased 60 acres of land near the Forum and Hollywood Park Raceway in Inglewood, California. Typically, Land purchases are not a big deal especially for Stan Kroenke who frequently purchases land all the time. But this particular piece of land has been eyed by the National Football League as a potential site for an NFL Stadium.
For those of you who are just learning about the Drama in St. Louis, Stan Kroenke has been trying to get public money for upgrades to the Edward Jones Dome since 2012. Recently, talks for a 700 Million Dollar Project to renovate the stadium fell through and speculation that the team would leave has been circulating since last year. Since that time, The State of Missouri led by Governor Jay Nixon have been trying to keep the Rams in St. Louis and build either a new facility on the outskirts of the city or renovate the Edward Jones Dome, the facility the Rams have been playing at since 1995.
There is a way to satisfy fans in both St. Louis and Los Angeles. Since the relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2011, we have seen teams reclaim names of past franchises. Just recently in the NBA, The Charlotte Bobcats announced that they would become the Charlotte Hornets in time for the 2014-2015 season. I think that the City of Los Angeles should get the rights to the name "Rams" as well as the blue and gold color scheme used. this way, LA gets the Rams back while St. Louis gets to hang on to it's football.
Now, Why give the name to Los Angeles and not Cleveland or Why can't St Louis keep the name. well, In my opinion, I think that because out of the three cities, the Rams spent the most time in Los Angeles. the franchise has over 50 years worth of history there.
What about St. Louis? well, the team would have to re-brand itself. Despite keeping the rights to the Rams history, records, etc from 1995-2014. some possible suggestions include; The Arches, The Aviators, and the Stallions.

The league does not have to reinstate the Rams right away, someone could claim the rights to this and resurrect the team down the road. And St. Louis gets to keep it's football club playing.
